Synopsis

The world begins to wither and die as a terrible drought covers the land. The people of the Chentang Pass offer everything they have as a sacrifice to the Dragon King of the Eastern Seas in an effort to save their lives and their livelihoods. However, their efforts to appease the powerful lord are insufficient. Ne Zha, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King's son, realizes that the only way to save the people he loves is to destroy the evil forces that are to blame for this terrible drought as he watches the world turn to dust.Ne Zha embarks on a desperate quest after hearing rumors of five magical weapons that will aid in eradicating evil. Ne Zha goes on a wide-ranging search in an effort to locate these weapons, fighting off every kind of evil he can think of along the way. But not everyone he meets is evil, and not everyone in the Dragon King's court is out to destroy the world. The world's currents begin to shift when Ne Zha meets Xiao Long Nu, the princess of the Eastern Seas.Despite the fact that Xiao Long Nu and Ne Zha rarely get along, they are determined to put an end to the plague that her father started. This unlikely couple agreed to put their differences aside and set out to find the magical weapons that would assist them in defeating the evil that is afflicting humanity and restoring order and justice to the world.
